The Seasons Triptych is the first of my backlit artwork creations. This set of three original alcohol ink and gold leaf artworks represent the changing seasons of Autumn, Winter and Spring.
 
The artworks have been created on 3mm canvas board and protected with three layers of varnish and three layers of UV-protectant.
 
I have installed LED lighting behind each artwork. Once hung, the lighting bounces off the wall, creating a luminous soft border around each artwork and adding something truly unique and customisable! The LEDs are controlled via a remote which allows you to turn the light on and off, and change the colours, including the option for white light and light transitions between all the colours with various speed settings (see the demo video above).
 
Each piece takes 3x AA batteries - the battery pack and remote controlled are both secured to the back of the piece with velcro so they can be easily removed and stored. If you're anything like me, it will be a lifesaver when it comes to losing that precious remote controller!
 
Each piece is available for purchase separately for $250 each. However, if the whole package is what you're after (and for the biggest wow factor!) all three in the triptych is available for $700 - a $50 discount!
 
The artworks come ready to hang, with silicone bumpers adhered to the back to avoid damage to walls and a set of batteries included.
